I had a listing in Midwood that my client had remodeled. He had taken a “cottage style” bungalow and knocked out the wall between the dining room and kitchen. He had put in totally modern cabinets, lighting and granite. By itself, it looked like it belonged in Dwell Magazine. But coming in the front door, buyers thought they were going into a cute Midwood cottage. That was the problem. That, and the orange paint and dark brown tile in the Master bath!

After 3 months on the market, I called Cheryl. She came in and basically took the curse off the modern element. She was almost finished staging, putting the final touches in the kitchen, when a young couple came in. Less than 24 hours later, they had the house under contract. Through clever furniture placement, accessories and a terrific ability to combine the two styles, Cheryl was able to turn this “problem” into a successful ‘SOLD!”
